Back from San Jose…

San Jose.  I wish I could have seen more of it.

The hotel was nice.  Really nice.  (Except for the flood on Halloween night, but sometimes these things just can’t be helped!)  But there was so much to do, I really did not have a chance to see anything but that hotel.  Which was too bad, because it actually looked like a nice place.  Maybe next time…

However, we were at the World Fantasy Convention.  We were not there for sightseeing.  We were there to promote our new book, Women of the Apocalypse, and to party.  Hard.  So we did.

It was great to see old friends (Brian Hades and Janice Shoults, from Edge Publishing, Josh Langston and Barb Geller-Smith, promoting their new book “Druids,” and Rick Lablanc, photographer extraordinaire) and to make some new ones.  Among them were Annette Mocek, Gabrielle Harbowy, Kathleen Nelson, and Deryl Murphy…. And I can’t forget! Robert Silverberg.  (Really!  I have pictures! Well, I don’t, but the instant I get a copy, I will post!)  Plus the fantastic person who developed the amazing drinks in the Con Suite every night!  I wish I’d asked his name — and I WISH I’d asked for his recipes.
